Andy Wintrip

Andy is a professional concept artist who bought Hollie and Figgs to life.

He took the original pencil drawn sketches created by Annette’s daughter Holly and re-imagined them into colourful and bright graphic illustrations.

He fully illustrated the first book, including the amazing cover art you can see to the left!

Beth Hilliard

Bethan Hilliard is a Graphic Design and Illustration graduate from De Montfort University. She loves to try all styles and media when drawing depending on her mood, but her favourite way of working is combining intricate, stylised lines with gorgeous textures. Bethan is heavily inspired by music, video games and fashion – when she’s not designing she can usually be found putting on rainbow coloured makeup or playing through her favourite Nintendo game for the umpteenth time!

When I saw the call to work on the next Hollie and Figgs book I was excited to throw my hat into the ring because it looked fun and more illustrative than design jobs I had seen up to that point. I was lucky enough to be chosen to illustrate the project, and I enjoyed the level of freedom and trust in my abilities that Annette gave me, and it didn’t take long for me to fall in love with the characters and add my own take on them! Working on emulating the style of the original book was also a great learning experience because I was pushed to find solutions to make my work look as close to the original while still moving the story and imagery along.
